Professional Experience
I have nearly 20 years of work experience as a Dental Surgeon at multidisciplinary units in government
and Private Institutions within Sri Lanka. The following are skills and competencies achieved throughout

• Conservative and cosmetic dental procedures such as GIC, Amalgam, Composite restoration,
Root canal treatment, Dental transplant Crown and bridgework, Dental Veneering, vital and
nonvital Bleaching, Dental implants, and dental trauma management.
• Orthodontics – removable and fixed appliances
• Performing surgical procedures under local and general anesthesia such as simple and multiple
dental extractions, extraction of impacted teeth, Fracture management (Dentoalveola, maxilla,
mandible, and Zygoma), Incision and drainage of abscesses, performing various types of
biopsies, and other minor surgeries in the OMF region, Bone graft, facial suturing, Assisting
major OMF surgeries including microvascular operations.
• Managing maxilio facial trauma in the emergency department
• Pediatric Dental Practice.
• Obstetric dental care.

• Periodontal treatment, scaling, and root planing.
